Day 7 – PATIENCE

By July 4, 2014 Uncategorized

PATIENCE is important when you’re learning new things.  We all watched video of Michaela Shiffrin’s amazing GS last night before jumping into gates today, and of course it’s easy to say “oh I want to ski like that!!” But it takes hard work and won’t just happen overnight.  By having small goals that are attainable and working towards them is good way to change in a positive direction.  We also like the word PATIENCE in terms of skiing – we use it to remind the girls not to not rush the turn, and to be patient at the top of the turn to really create the most out of each turn.  Sometimes we tend to rush into the turn and cut ourselves off and lose speed and momentum – so patience seems to be a good way to work through some bad habits.

Christina caught some amazing Sun Dog photos!
