Welcome back to the SKI RACING SISTERHOOD!!
Anna, Shona, Christina, and Leslie are super stoked for another summer of fun! We all arrived yesterday and were on snow early this morning! It wasn’t the best weather, but the girls persevered and we saw lots of great skiing with no complaints! It was awesome!
We’ve decided to focus on having a focus word for each day. Today’s was RESPECT. It’s all about respecting each other, respecting the coaches (and our rules), and respecting yourself. We chose this word for the first day because it applies to sports, success, and life. It was great to see the girls being respectful with each other and making new friends. We carried the respect focus onto the hill – the girls listened attentively and we didn’t hear any complaints despite the challenging weather. Fog, rain, and snow made working on balance and stance super important. When the sun comes out we’re sure the girls will be feeling strong on their skis after today’s drills and free-skiing.
Tomorrow’s word is STRENGTH! We are focusing on mental and physical strength. Both are essential for success and worth discussing! We will write more about how it applies to our day tomorrow. For now, enjoy the pics and our funny little movie!
