A great day 2! Sunny and great skiing. We are all starting to communicate better together on and off the hill and dinner was a lot louder than last night! 🙂 The girls crushed GS in the heat.  We salted a ton and got a pretty good surface for our second session. Tomorrow’s word has a lot to do with today: persistence.  No matter what conditions you are faced with, you must find a way to make it work for you.  It reminded me of when Erin Mielzynski won Oftershwang three years ago – there was so much salt on that hill, the ruts were insane, and she somehow made it look easy! Today our first session saw a few ruts despite our best salting efforts! Some of the girls really made it work and it was super impressive.  Going into tomorrow, we reminded the girls that the weather can do ANYTHING on race day, kind of like last week when we had to train in the rain and fog, and everyone gave it their best and really tried to make something of it. That’s our goal for this whole camp – try your hardest, have successful runs, and learn how to adapt to whatever is thrown your way! All with a smile on your face! 🙂
